Out of bed but..

So I'm up... unfortunately I fell asleep but the my daughter had coughing fit and what seamed to be a few bad dreams. I did get to sleep till 9:30 that's when the yelling and fighting between siblings began. My husband trying to keep the peace so I didn't wake up was nice but I did. I do believe I did sleep from 4:30 or 5 ish till 9:30 so that's good anything over 2 hours at a time is like heaven for me. We'll see how the day goes this is one of those times where I can't promise anything because fibro can keep you down or just go away from moment to moment during a flair up. My husband works a 10 hour shift today so its all up to me to keep the kids happy. Maybe I'll take them to the library we haven't got our new cards yet and the Library here is COOL nice and new and big for a small town! Bigger than Morgan Hills. I just hope it has a good children's section like Hanover Library where the children's section was completely separate so that little ones didn't bother the adults. Have you ever had some crabby person glare at you because your 1 year old is laughing or talking on the kids side and its obvious that your trying to teach them the QUIET rule but they don't get it! Then some crabby person (not even reading ) walks by glaring at you like you are a terrible parent for bringing your KIDS to such a coveted place like the LIBRARY how can you sleep at night! I just try to ignore but I have a bit of an attitude so I usually stare back with the raised eyebrows and the do you have something to say look...That's how the Morgan Hill Library is set up not KID FRIENDLY....Hanover had it's children's section on a different floor it was great.

Well that seams to have worked now off to bed!~ Hope to be back tomorrow. My fibromyalgia has been very bad the past couple of days so we'll see how I feel tomorrow. I find it very hard to sit in a chair when I'm in a flair up let alone try to blog..This is the time I need my sleep most but this is also the time I can't sleep...I need to get my Ambien but money is too tight and my daughter needed Asthma medicine and that broke the bank this week so here I sit wanting to sleep but knowing I can't...Oh well I should at least try. Hope is in the Air

Last night the first bi racial man became President Elect. Barack Obama! I was so excited the entire night and when the results came in I cried. I had decided that my son Lane who is 7 should stay up past bed time to witness this event, so when people on TV and I started to cry my son asked "Why is everyone so sad Mommy?". I looked at him and decided to tell him the truth of our history here in America.. The way we treated Black People Slaves,Segregation, and the horrible things that had taken place through out our history. Lane was shocked to say the least but now he truly understands as much as he can how amazing this is and when he is my age he will be telling his kids "I remember when Nana made me stay up and we watched President Obama' s acceptance speech. Then came the speech!...Need I say more....he will remember that night and I hope he will tell the story of when our Country pulled it's self out of darkness!

Watching Martha and Rachell Ray while being allergic to Wheat

I'm allergic to wheat and I like to watch Martha Stewart and Rachel Ray and the Food Channel. I suddenly became aware that I just torching my self! Every thing they make has Bread, Pasta, or flour! I haven't always known I'm allergic but I have (I believe) always been allergic. I love all things Wheat! I am on a mission! I'm going to wright them all (one day) and plead with each and every one PLEASE put a wheat free alternative on their web sites! There is plenty of Gluten free flours out there but to substitute is tricky? I Challenge all foodies to come up with alternative recipes using products easy to find like "Bob's Red Mill" GF flours and bread mixes... I'm good at cooking..I suck at baking unless there is a precise recipe...

Osama Musical on Skins (BBC America)

I love BBC America it's refreshing I wouldn't however watch it if your easily offended. I just watched Skins for the first time and the high school was doing a play called Osama. It was a musical about Americans before and after 9-11. Watching it was a little strange I had to remind myself that this is a show from another country. Lets face it we would never do a musical + love story episode on hmmm Gossip Girl that involved The Twin Towers on 9-11. The lyrics that stood out were creepy "Then came the day Osama Blew us away Osama, Osama blew us away" it was uncomfortable to listen to But then you think of all the Musicals we have and there are plenty with tragedies from long ago.. Has it really been long enough? .....I'm not too sure it has...

New

So I'm new to all this. I kept away from the blog stuff because well I can't spell and my grammar sucks but I have a lot to say and I'm with kids 24/7. I'm a mom of 2 and I just moved to a new state where the only people I know are my in-laws...I have strong opinions and so does my mother-in law but they are very different...

I have fibromyalgia so that makes things difficult for me on a daily basis.

I say "Holy Hanna" or "What the Heck" often and when it comes to my kids I say the two together a lot. The phrases sums up what happens in my house or life on a daily basis...
